Art Craft: Bee head-bands and beehive. Bee-Bot game.

The children shared the resources to collage the bee headbands and beehive.  They were committed to finish the task at hand.

Bee-Bot game: Nectar Hunt.  The children hid the bee-bot behind the beehive which they had earlier collaged. They chose a flower on the chart and then one child programmed the toy to reach the indicated flower.  They took turns to play the game.  This activity encouraged them to estimate how many squares the bee-bot had to travel.  The game promoted mathematical concepts such as directions and counting.

One boy brought from home a carrot which seemed to have two legs.  With barbeque sticks, beans and plasticine the boy was encouraged to create a figure.
